Why Was This Blog Started?

This blog is for the person thinking about entering an endurance race to the veteran racer. It's for the endurance racer in all of us. There are many types of endurance races. To name a few; running, triathlons, duathlons, cycling, xc skiing, mountain biking, adventure races, canoeing, kayaking to name some of the more popular ones. This blog will hopefully be interesting from the novice racer to the professional. I would like this blog to give the readers information on a variety of topics associated with racing, health and fitness, apparel, products, training tips, funny videos and any other relevant topic that is brought up by bloggers relating to endurance races. My hope is that this blog will go hand-in-hand with a website I started called,

EnduranceRaceFinder.com

I hope this blog will establish a community of racers that don’t need to finish first in every race, but strive to live a lifestyle of a happy healthy person. If you take away information from this blog that is useful to you and your racing or training than I will consider this blog successful. This blog hopefully encourages and pushes all of us to reach our goals in the endurance race community. I know there are blogs out there that are tailored to the individual races classified as endurance, but I want to encompass the whole community. I don’t just want a running blog or a xc skiing blog. I have found that many endurance athletes compete in a variety of different races and would like this blog to reflect that. Along those same lines there are many nutritional ideas and training methods that would be relevant to more than just one discipline of endurance racing. I hope this blog bridges that gap.
